Evenin'.

Well, it's odd, but I'm addicted to blogging once again.  The good part is no one will actually read this, so it's kinda harmless.
I just really gotta say - I HATE YOU YOU FAT SLAG.

You will never know who.

Ha.

The First Rant

Well, this'll be a short rant because I don't have long, but I like this font so will keep typing.
Maybe I could talk about myself.
That'll do.

OK, I'm Cat.  I have a boyfriend called Oli and we've been together for 19 months, or 18, depending on how you count cause we broke up for 3 - 4 weeks in Febuary.  However, we're back now and going good.  He can be alright, yknow, but can annoy me.  Then again, who can't?
My two best best besties are Katie and Alice who are absolutely fantastic and are always there for me.  I love them, they're so cool.

What else...
I absolutely love horses.  I've been riding since I was about 3, and have been riding weekly or more since - except when I was younger and couldn't cope with it, and I rode every other week.  But, yknow, that's it.  If you live nearish Brighton and have a horse you want exercising, let me know - I'd love extra chances to ride.  And seriously, I ride almost anything.  When I first went to my old stables I rode the owner's horse, Henry Esquire [R.I.P<3] who was fantastic.  He was an amazing jumper and really loved it.  I remember the first time I jumped a course with him.  I lost control completely, he was too strong for me, me being just 11ish.  But man, it was great.  He had such a fantastic jump, bowling over jumps then speeding away from them with seriously awesome power.
I loved him from the first moment, the first ride.  Seriously.
Because this is meant to be a rant, I'll tell you some stuff I remember.  Like when I first found out I was to ride him.
I was in a lesson with Angela when Seona, the yard owner, came down and said to Angela, "think Cat could handle Henry?"  - Henry being Seona's Horse and very widely known so -  and Angela said "yeah."
It was brilliant, cause Seona then went onto the yard and asked my dad if it'd be ok because yknow, Henry was big and probably dangerous, but bloody good.  It was confirmed that day, and I was excited for the holidays so so much afterwards.  It was brilliant.
Henry was one of the best horses I've ever ridden.  He was one in a million, and though it sounds corny, will be forever to me.  I love him, seriously.  I came off him loads of times, but hey, he just made me a good rider!
<33
I don't really know what to say about the next few horses, there's not as much as about Henry.
Still, firstly there's Megan.  I started riding Megan when Seona said that she needed a good rider for her.  It was a brilliant time, I brought her on a long way, and could really see the difference in her.  She had basically done nothing for a long time before I started riding her, because her previous rider, Nicola, had left the yard and gotten her own horse.  I think.
Nicola was great, and made Megan awesome, but when she left she had made Megs brilliant.  However, when Megs started spending her days getting fat in the field, she forgot a lot of stuff.  I helped her remmeber it.  It was good fun, and really satisfying.
After I worked with Megan, I got Henry on loan.  He was brilliant, of course.  I went to a lot of shows, and came off at - i think - all of them.  Great experiences, and I think at one of them I jumped over 4ft when I got pissed off, which I'm pretty proud of I must say, cause we cleared it hugely.
I got Henry off loan because it was too much work - an hour's journey and an hour's ride after a full day of school, then homework when I got home, I got way too worn out.  So eventually I went back to my hour every week rides, and spending the days at the yard.  This was around the time I met Alice and Katie =)
So after Henry there was Diesel.  I did a lot of work with him and spent my fourth pony camp (I did one on Henry, 2nd on Harry who I haven't mentioned, and 3rd on Megs..) and probably came 3rd in most things.  I got a lot of 3rds, which was annoying...except for the first year when in "best rider", I wasn't included to (and I quote) "give the others a chance".   I thought that was brilliant, shall we say.  Anyway.  Diesel was this young bay gelding who still thought he was a stallion, which made him hard work around any mare.  He was strong and fun, and really good.  However, I was basically kicked off him by Lucy, and the last time I rode him he was so heavy on my hands that I practically had to hold him up, which meant slowing him down was really hard work.  Because of this, we once went for a jump and he litterally fell over.  Didn't hurt much, and was bloody funny!
Then, finally, there was Buzz.
Buzz was a darker basically brown gelding, with a blaze down his face.  At the moment at least, he's in my display picture.  He was a challange.  He bucked and reared and acted up and took advantage, but I never once came off him, and more often managed to pull him up and make him act his age.  Soemtimes I looked like a bad rider on him because of the way he acted - apparently - but I really don't care.
One of my most vivid memories about him (and I'm only saying one cause I'm running out of time) was this time he bucked with me after a fence, and I sat it out not thinking it was anything special.  The next week, Keith - Seona's husband - came by the stable Alice and I were mucking out and said "yes, we would've rather that it hadn't happened, but that was a very impressive buck you sat out, in front of a lot of clients.  And he was almost vertical, so you should be proud."  And after that, I was.

I loved Mitchelswood EC, but I can't say Hamsey's bad.  I had my first lesson in ages the other week, which was totally brilliant.
But more of that later, I'm off to bed now.
Nighty night!
